I looked up how to stop the secondary SSID on NEC’s wireless LAN router Aterm WR8750N, so here’s a memo.

1. Please refer to "Want to launch Quick Setup Web" and open Quick Setup Web. 2. From the left menu, select 『Wireless LAN Settings』-『Wireless LAN Detailed Settings (2.4GHz)』. (If you want to stop the secondary SSID on the 5GHz band side, select 『Wireless LAN Detailed Settings (5GHz)』) 3. The 『Wireless LAN Detailed Settings』 screen will open. In [Select Target Network], choose the secondary SSID and press the [Select] button. 4. In [Wireless LAN Access Point (Parent Device) Settings] under [Wireless Function], uncheck [Use]. 5. Press the [Settings] button. An alert will appear, so press the [OK] button. 6. Press the [Save] button in the left menu to save the settings.

Basically, I recognize that secondary SSIDs like xxx-aw, xxx-gw are not used, but are there situations where they’re necessary?

Maybe for guests?
