[G Suite] Super admins cannot check the owner of Google documents that aren't shared
I inquired with support about how to check the owner of Google documents as a super admin in G Suite, but it seems it’s not possible.
We are contacting you regarding the confirmation of Google Drive owners and titles used within the domain by super admins only.
We apologize, but when a document’s sharing setting is set to “Private - only I can access,” checking the owner by another user is not possible even for super admins, due to the specifications.
Please note that sharing settings can be configured for each individual document. If you set the document’s sharing setting to “Users in the organization with the link,” only users who receive the document link from the owner can access (and check the owner), and permissions can also be customized such as “view only” and “can edit.” Below is a help article with details about document sharing options, which we provide for reference. We would appreciate it if you could refer to it.

Of course, you can check the owner of shared Google documents.
Please use the following methods to check Google document owners:
Option 1: ファイルを表示する - Google ドライブ ヘルプ ※After clicking the preview button, click the details of the (i) icon from the band displayed in the upper right of the screen.
Option 2: 【For new Drive】
【For previous Drive】
Also, by clicking the details and history icon (i) in the upper right of the Drive screen, you can check the latest update information for each document. From this method as well, you can confirm who created and last updated, so we would appreciate it if you could use this in combination.
That’s all from the Gemba, where I wanted to check Google document owners as a G Suite super admin.
