[Google Apps] Google Drive sharing settings can take up to 24 hours to take effect

Google Drive sharing settings can apparently take up to 24 hours to take effect.

When I inquired with Google customer support, I received the following response:

[Question] Do Google Apps sharing settings take effect immediately after changing settings?

Setting changes in the admin console can take up to 24 hours to take effect.

I was testing how Google Drive sharing settings affect the scope of access, but since they didn’t take effect immediately, I couldn’t verify properly.

Since there seems to be a time lag until settings take effect, if you’re wondering “Huh? The sharing settings haven’t changed?” you should sleep on it and wait overnight.

That’s all from the Gemba.
