[Mac] Connecting MacBooks and iMacs with LAN cables

I connected two iMacs with a LAN cable to share one external hard drive between the two iMacs.

I thought that to connect Macs with a LAN cable, I would need to manually assign IP addresses from the network settings.

When I actually tried it, just connecting the LAN cable automatically assigned IPs using a DHCP server, which was very convenient.

To connect a MacBook Air and iMac, you just need to connect them using a Gigabit Ethernet adapter.

That’s all from the Gemba.
