[Wi-Fi] Difference between 'wireless connection/joining' and 'simultaneous communication after wireless connection'

Q) From http://www.rtpro.yamaha.co.jp/RT/FAQ/WLX/max-clients.html I understand that WLX302’s maximum wireless client connection count is 50 devices on 2.4GHz and 50 devices on 5GHz, totaling 100 devices.

However, according to http://jp.yamaha.com/products/network/solution/trouble_shooting/trouble_shooting-wlan_interfere/ it seems that when “simultaneous communication terminals” exceed 10 devices, a “caution” log is output, and when it exceeds 30 devices, it becomes a “warning”.

What is the recommended number of terminal connections for each GHz?

A) Thank you for your inquiry. Your question concerns the difference between “wireless connection/joining” and “simultaneous communication after wireless connection”. The former allows linking up to 50 devices per frequency, totaling 100 devices, but the latter refers to the number of devices that can communicate simultaneously among these. This simultaneous communication count is defined by Wi-Fi standards.

Q) Regarding the latter “simultaneous communication after wireless connection”, what is the recommended number for this?

A) Simultaneous access count is based on standard specifications, so we don’t have a recommended number from our company.

That’s all from the Gemba.
