E-commerce sites can expect SEO benefits by displaying reviews on product pages

A certain SEO specialist gave me advice that “E-commerce sites can improve SEO effects by displaying reviews on product pages. You shouldn’t show just a few like 3-5 reviews, but should display around 15. Amazon shows exemplary customer review displays.”

Based on this SEO advice, I actually analyzed Amazon.co.jp product pages.

The main area displays 6 “Top Customer Reviews” and the right sidebar shows 10 “Recent Customer Reviews.”

According to the SEO specialist, Google’s search logic doesn’t expect SEO effects from comments on news sites, but review comments on e-commerce sites can be expected to have SEO effects.

Amazon’s customer review sections seem quite effective for SEO, so e-commerce site operators should definitely give it a try.

That’s all from the Gemba.
