Non-engineers in the company say things like “I replied on the Git issue,” but I’ve been thinking “That’s not Git, that’s GitHub. They’re as different as Java and JavaScript. As different as India and Indonesia.” However, I haven’t bothered to point it out because it’s troublesome.
Recently, I’ve been conducting engineer training, and when someone asked “What’s the difference between Git and GitHub?”, I prepared this collection of links that you can read to understand the difference.
