Notion Introduction

I started using Notion, so I’ll introduce a collection of articles that were helpful from introduction to becoming proficient.

Notion

Prerequisites Before Notion Introduction

I have experience using the following tools that seem related to Notion:

  • Groupware: G Suite
  • Document management: esa, Kibela
  • Chat: Slack, Chatwork
  • GitHub, GitLab

Unclear How to Utilize Notion

First, what caught my attention was:

Notion is a note-taking application and service with markdown support that integrates tasks, wikis, and databases. The company describes this app as an all-in-one workspace for note-taking, project management, and task management.

The point where it’s introduced as an all-in-one workspace.

At first glance, it seems like everything can be completed with just Notion, but I think there will be cases where it doesn’t reach the itch as I continue using Notion.

I’d like to investigate the point about “wanting to know examples of how to divide usage between Notion and external tools.”

Want to Know What Kind of Tool Notion Is

First, to understand Notion, I read all the top 20 Google search results for the keyword “Notion”.

Notion Mastery Examples

After learning about Notion’s overview from the above articles, I next read articles introducing examples of masterful Notion usage.

Corporate Implementation Examples of Notion

Understanding Notion Systematically

To understand Notion systematically, it seems good to read all of the Notion official Help & Support pages.

For those who struggle with English, Npedia -Notion情報局- is recommended as it’s written in Japanese.

Notion x Slack Integration

It seems you can notify Slack of update information for specific Notion pages. If you notify everything, Slack might get noisy, so I think it’s good to use this selectively for specific purposes.

That’s all about introducing Notion and wanting to master it going forward from the Gemba.
