Books I Recommend for Engineers Learning About Logistics Systems and Inventory Management

I’ll introduce some books I recommend for software engineers who want to learn about logistics systems and inventory management.

エンジニアが学ぶ物流システムの「知識」と「技術」

小売・流通業が知らなきゃいけない物流の知識 (Logistics Knowledge That Retail and Distribution Companies Must Know)

This book doesn’t touch on systems at all, but you can gain knowledge about logistics. If you’re reading for the first time, I recommend starting with this one.

エンジニアが学ぶ物流システムの「知識」と「技術」 (Logistics System "Knowledge" and "Technology" for Engineers)

As the title suggests, this is “for engineers to learn,” so technical topics are also covered.

SEがはじめて学ぶ在庫管理 (Inventory Management for System Engineers)

You can learn more specialized topics about “how to handle inventory management in systems.”

In my case, I just wanted to learn what to do when handling inventory management in retail including e-commerce, but this book also explains from the perspective of inventory management (material management) in factories where manufacturing processes occur, so you can gain more specialized knowledge about inventory management.

That’s all from someone who once developed logistics and inventory management systems at the Gemba.

If you have other books to recommend, please let me know.
