How to Fix Internet Explorer 11 (IE11) Showing Blank Pages on Amazon WorkSpaces

I’ll introduce how to fix the issue when Internet Explorer 11 (IE11) shows blank pages and doesn’t work properly on Amazon WorkSpaces’ virtual Windows 10 desktop service.

Background: "Blocked by Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration"

On Amazon WorkSpaces Windows 10, IE11 sometimes displays “Blocked by Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration” or shows blank pages.

For example, some web services show blank pages even though they state they support IE11.

After investigation, I found that Amazon WorkSpaces’ Windows 10 uses Windows Server specifications, so IE11’s security settings are set strictly by default. This needs to be changed to off.

Solution: Change "Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration" to "Off"

Go to [Server Manager] - [Local Server] - [Properties] and click [IE Enhanced Security Configuration].

In the “Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration” screen, change both Administrators group and Users group to “Off”.
