Experience Report: Completely Cashless, Walk-through Store 'Developers.IO CAFE'
I’ll share my experience visiting the completely cashless, walk-through store Developers.IO CAFE.
I might implement a cashless store system, and since they had implemented it experimentally early on and even operated the store, I went to inspect it.
Both the cashless and walk-through purchase flows were simple and sophisticated, so they seemed like they would be useful references when I implement something myself.
Through the store inspection, I took screenshots of every step, but I’ll omit them from this article. If you want to know, please experience the store yourself.
For a list of articles showing what the store is like, it’s good to read from the latest article in Developers.IO CAFE Newsletter | Series | Developers.IO in order.
If you want to know about the store’s condition as of November 2020, I think reading the following three articles will give you a general sense of the atmosphere.
For technical articles, it’s good to read the articles in Developers.IO CAFE | Featured Category.
As the first article to read, I recommend I talked about Developers.IO CAFE’s backend at ServerlessDays Fukuoka because you can understand the technical overview.
If you want to catch up on more detailed technical overview, it would be good to also read the following slides.
That’s all from the Gemba, where I want to try implementing a completely cashless store.
