I’ll introduce my story of migrating from Evernote to Google Keep.
Both Evernote’s macOS and Android apps were extremely slow, so I was considering migration to a different note-taking app.
The features I use in Evernote are as follows:
List of services I considered as migration candidates for note-taking apps:
It’s been two weeks since I changed to a lifestyle using Google Keep as my main service.
The workflow of writing thought notes and diary entries in Google Keep and then promoting persistent notes to Google Docs is working well.
For web clipping, since the frequency isn’t high, I only export truly necessary content to PDF files and upload them to Google Drive.
Unless a good service comes along, it looks like I’ll be going with a flow that’s complete within Google.
? Notion – The all-in-one workspace for your notes, tasks, wikis, and databases.
Notion didn’t suit me for writing thought notes and diary entries.
Web clipping only supports public web pages, and you can’t clip pages after login, which was a bottleneck as a feature.
? Best Notes App - Write and Organize with UpNote
This would have been fine since the UI is close to Evernote’s, but I was concerned about data backup, so I’m waiting to see how it develops.
The fact that it uses Firebase was a concern.
That’s all from the Gemba.
