Ruby on Rails

Background: `An error occurred while installing mysql2 (0.5.3), and Bundler cannot continue.`

When running bundle install, I got the error An error occurred while installing mysql2 (0.5.3), and Bundler cannot continue., and running gem install mysql2 -v '0.5.3' --source 'https://rubygems.org/' didn’t solve it, which was troublesome.

$ bundle install

An error occurred while installing mysql2 (0.5.3), and Bundler cannot continue.
Make sure that `gem install mysql2 -v '0.5.3' --source 'https://rubygems.org/'` succeeds before bundling.

In Gemfile:
  spree_dev_tools was resolved to 0.1.10, which depends on
    mysql2

Solution: bundle config --local build.mysql2 "--with-ldflags=-L/usr/local/opt/openssl/lib"

bundle config --local build.mysql2 "--with-ldflags=-L/usr/local/opt/openssl/lib"
bundle install

That’s all from the Gemba on solving the error where mysql2 couldn’t be installed during bundle install.
