When developing Facebook apps, you frequently need to respond to API specification changes.

If you miss any updates, your app could become unusable, so Facebook app developers need to regularly check for the latest information.

There are 3 sites you should check. Of course, all are official Facebook sites.

Developer Blog

The first is the Facebook Developer Blog.

This blog provides Facebook’s latest trends from a technical perspective. It’s updated almost daily.

Developer Roadmap

The second is the Developer Roadmap.

It chronologically summarizes when Facebook API specification changes will occur.

Just checking here should prevent you from missing API specification change responses.

Facebook stackoverflow

The third is Facebook Stack Overflow, a Facebook-specialized version of Stack Overflow, the site beloved by engineers.

When you get stuck developing Facebook apps, you can usually solve problems by asking questions or searching here.

All the sites introduced today are written in “English.”

So, in the bonus section, I’ve compiled Japanese sites I recommend for those who struggle with English.

The following 3 sites distribute Facebook Developer Blog information in Japanese articles, so they’re very helpful references.

Facebook | FBN Future box news | Facebook、Android、 iPhone WEBのこれからを伝えるメディア

小粋空間: Facebook アーカイブ

Also, check out the Japanese Facebook app developer site run by Cybird.

However, it’s disappointing that it doesn’t have an RSS feed.

Finally, though not aimed at developers, if you want to get information about Facebook page management and marketing, GaiaX’s blog is also essential.
