I read 『ジャパニーズ・ドリーム―――26歳上場企業社長のe革命宣言!』藤田晋(著) (Japanese Dream - E-Revolution Declaration by a 26-year-old Listed Company President! by Susumu Fujita), so I’ll share the insights I gained from this book.

Background: A 20-year-old Book by CyberAgent President Fujita

I read this 20-year-old book by CyberAgent President Fujita that I had never read before.

Below are quotes and notes from the parts that left an impression on me.

Chapter 7: Organization - An Eternal Theme

I Don't Accept "Individualism"

Someone was talking about how "lazy but competent people are supermen." This is because lazy people hate having to handle all the work themselves, so they put effort into finding ways to make things easier for themselves. For example, they think about selecting subordinates with high process improvement abilities and entrusting most of the work to them, which makes them good at developing people below them. This is a very important element in building an organization.

? Lazy but competent people are an important element in organization building.

People who want to handle everything themselves should run an "individual shop." Doing everything individually is the same as doing nothing from a company or organization perspective. To build a strong organization, I must create a state where even if I were to disappear, it wouldn't affect management. For this reason, we must continue to eliminate "person-dependent" elements as much as possible.

? To build a strong organization, eliminate person-dependency.

That’s all from the Gemba.
