Buying a Minimum SKYSEA Client View License for Evaluation — M1 Cloud via Free Trial, Amazon, or a Reseller
I need a minimum-size license of SKYSEA Client View to evaluate its software distribution feature. This post sorts out which edition appears to meet the requirement and which purchase routes exist, based on what the official pages say. The product pages are in Japanese only.
I have not bought anything yet. Contract details for the minimum license, such as invoice payment and whether a contract document is needed, are listed as unconfirmed at the end.
Requirement and Edition
The requirement is software distribution. SKYSEA Client View comes in on-premises and cloud versions, and the features differ by edition. According to the feature list:
- On-premises: Enterprise, Professional, Tel, Light, 500 Clients Pack, Standard
- Cloud: M1 Cloud, S1H Cloud, S3H Cloud
Software distribution is listed as a standard feature in every on-premises edition and in the cloud editions M1, S1H, and S3H. M1 Cloud is the cloud edition with the most restricted feature set (the feature list describes it as a “carefully selected” set of functions), so it appears to satisfy this requirement.
For S1H Cloud and S3H Cloud, the feature list notes that some functions may be unavailable in environments where the management server and client PCs cannot communicate directly. M1 Cloud has no such note, but I still need to check the network layout of my test environment.
The separate “software emergency distribution” feature is standard only in Enterprise, a paid option in Professional, Tel, Light, 500 Clients Pack, and Standard, and included in S3H Cloud. I do not need it, so I excluded it.
The feature list page has no prices. It points to a downloadable feature-list PDF and an inquiry line.
Three Purchase Routes
There are three ways to get M1 Cloud:
| Route | Term | Devices | Cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free trial | 1 month | Up to 5 | Free |
| Amazon | 1 year | Minimum 2 | ¥31,680 (as of 2026-10-21) |
| Reseller | Negotiated | Minimum 1 | Negotiated |
Free Trial
The M1 Cloud trial is free for one month and up to 5 devices. The remote operation option and the sent-mail log option are each covered for 5 clients as well.
Conditions from the application page:
- Businesses only; individuals are not handled
- A company name and head-office phone number are required, and free email addresses are not accepted
- The form has a field for the referring dealer; enter “Skyからの紹介” (“Referred by Sky”) if there is none
- The loan starts about one week after submission, and form errors can delay or prevent it
- Use is limited to evaluation, and the vendor may review stored data to check for other use
- Without a contract, data in the trial environment is deleted; if you sign, migrating it to production requires a request from you
- Submitted personal information may be used for sales and marketing emails and exhibition invitations, and may be shared with the referring dealer
- The vendor may decline an application
If I only want to test software distribution, the deciding question is whether 5 devices are enough. The one-month limit and the roughly one-week wait for the loan to start both need to fit into the evaluation schedule.
Amazon
The Amazon listing describes a 2-device set of SKYSEA Client View M1 Cloud, one-year term, for corporate buyers only, with 5 hours of support included. As of 2026-10-21 the price is ¥31,680. Larger sets were priced at ¥47,520 (3 devices), ¥79,200 (5), ¥110,880 (7), and ¥158,400 (10).
The listing says the product is non-returnable and non-refundable, and that payment is by credit card. It is delivered as a digital code and offered only to customers residing in Japan.
Unlike the trial, the term is one year and the minimum is 2 devices. It suits an evaluation that will not fit in one month, or continued use at 5 devices or fewer.

Reseller
Through a reseller, the term and cost are negotiated, starting from a single device, as I understand it. The official site says M1 Cloud starts “from 1 PC” (PC1台から), but I found no page stating the minimum quantity or quote terms for resellers. I would have to find a reseller first, so I expect this to take the longest of the three.
Unconfirmed Items
I have not confirmed the following about the minimum license contract:
- Whether the Amazon route allows invoice payment or other business payment methods besides a credit card
- Whether the Amazon route requires terms or a contract document
- The cost and contract documents for a single device through a reseller
- The procedure for moving from the trial to a paid license
The Amazon listing confirms only that payment by credit card is available. I will ask the seller about invoice payment and contract terms.
My plan is to verify software distribution on the free trial first, and consider Amazon or a reseller only if one month is not enough.
That’s all from sorting out the options for buying a minimum SKYSEA Client View license for evaluation, from the Gemba.
